| When Tamara Simon first opened the doors
of Koss Property Management in 1991, she wanted a name that
reflected the positive feeling of the way she approaches business.
She chose the name Koss to reflect the strong connection to
her family roots, in honor of her mother Jean and grandparents
Ann and Adolph Koss.
They passed on to Tamara the values of hard work and respect.
And those are exactly the values we carry through in every
client relationship that Koss maintains, whether we’re
helping a renter find their new home or helping a property
owner become profitable.
What makes working with Koss an outstanding experience? Chock
it up to our professional, yet personalized approach. Over
20 years of experience in the industry has taught us that
it’s not simply about managing properties, it’s
about providing a valuable service to people.
Tamara Simon Has the Answers
When people around Seattle have residential property management
questions, they ask Tamara S. Simon. That’s not so surprising,
given she’s one of the most respected local authorities
in the field.
Tamara began her real estate career in 1983, immediately
specializing in residential property management. She enjoyed
both the personal approach she could take with residential
clients while seeing the profound effect that professional
management had on improving their bottom lines. In 1991 she
opened the doors to her own firm, Koss Property Management.
Tamara finds an easy balance between being an astute businesswoman
and treating her clients (property owners and renters alike)
with friendliness, caring and respect—a decidedly refreshing
approach for the industry.
A compelling speaker, Tamara regularly presents topics related
to property management. Her riveting and humorous presentation
style keeps audiences in stitches—while doling out valuable
information at the same time. Journalists seek her out as
a respected authority on the rental market, and you’ll
often find her commenting on local effects of market trends
in major publications around Puget Sound.
Tamara is a licensed real estate broker and a board member
of the National Association of Residential Property Managers.
She is an active member of the Rental Housing Association
of Puget Sound, and has developed the education curriculum
and scheduled presenters and teachers through her work on
the education committee.
In 2000, Tamara was awarded the Professional Property Manager
(PPM) designation. Fewer than 500 property managers nationwide
hold this prestigious designation, which reflects the professional
commitment that Tamara has made to the residential property
management industry.
